This General Price List allows us to present these many options in a clear and transparent manner. We believe firmly in open and honest disclosure of our pricing, and pledge to answer all your questions in a thorough and understandable manner.

YOUR RIGHT OF CHOICE

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our clients. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must purchase any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

OUR CODE OF EXEMPLARY FUNERAL PRACTICE

As funeral directors and professionals, our calling imposes upon us special responsibilities to those we serve and to the public at large. Chief among them are the fiduciary duty and obligation to inform the public as well as families so that everyone can make knowledgeable and informed decisions about funerals and funeral directors at large

PAYMENT POLICY

During the arrangement conference you will be making selections of merchandise and services presented to you.  You will receive an itemized statement of your selection along with all charges that must be approved and signed by the person (s) who authorized the arrangements and will be responsible for payment.

We solicit your frankness in these matters.  If direct cremation is your request a 4% financing fee will be applied to the charge if the fee isn’t paid in full upon the request. If this is an undue burden for your family, we assure you that it is our policy to arrive at payment terms that are amicable to all involved. For your convenience we are cashless, we accept e-transfers, Assignment of a verified Insurance Policy, Public Service Ex-Gratia Award (The Treasury), The National Insurance Claim for Funeral Benefits etc.   We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

INITIAL SERVICES

Professional Consultation per hour  $150.00

To meet with the executor/executrix and/or next of kin to facilitate dialogue regarding the decedent, the goods and services offered, and for mutual acceptance of all parties prior to entering into a contractual agreement.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

TRANSFER OF YOUR LOVED ONE INTO OUR CARE OR PRINCESS MARGARET HOSPITAL MORGUE 

  • Vehicle to transport the decedent from a local place of death to the funeral home/morgue. $200.00
  • Removal Service Staff  $100.00
  • Transfer to Crematorium (Includes return of cremated remains to the funeral home)  $395.00
  • Body bag, designed to contain the human body, used for storage & transport  $ 95.00

 

Direct Cremation  $1,850.00

Our charge for direct cremation (without ceremony) includes but is not limited to:

  • A proportionate share of the basic services of funeral director and administrative staff,
  • Removal of decedent to the funeral home for refrigeration until cremation (if applicable)
  • Obtaining of necessary authorizations for cremation and recording of the death certificate

It does not include

  • The use of facilities and staff for any visitation or funeral ceremony (public or private)
  • No preparation of the decedent prior to cremation
  • Merchandise such as cremation containers or urn
  • Cash advance items such as obituary notices, or cemetery charges etc.

EMBALMING/ PREPARATION OF THE DECEDENT

  • Embalming allows family and friends the opportunity to view the decedent.
  • Viewing is important to many and serves to internalize the loss and to say goodbye.
  • Embalming allows flexibility for scheduling visitations and funeral services and can be used for both burial and cremation arrangements.
  • Embalming is not legally required but may be recommended to preserve the body between the time of death and the visitation or disposition of the decedent.

Refrigeration starts at   $150.00

  • PLHICCM maintains an on-site refrigeration facility.
  • Refrigeration allows for temporary sheltering of the deceased while arrangements such as immediate burial or direct cremation are finalized.
  • Public viewing or time to say goodbye is not possible with refrigeration.
  • This charge is for the first 72 hours; $75 for each additional 24-hour period thereafter.

 

Readjustment, repositioning, reapplication of cosmetics of received decedent   $300.00                 

Disposal of Hazardous Waste Material starting at  $110.00 – Items prohibited from being placed in regular trash bins

Special Care & Reconstructive Restoration when necessary (per hour, minimum of 3 hours) $100.00

Forwarding Remains to Another Funeral Home   $2,695.00

This charge includes:

  • The removal of remains from place of death,
  • Proportionate share of our basic services of funeral director and administrative staff,
  • Embalming,
  • Procurement necessary authorizations,
  • Transportation to the forwarding funeral home

This charge does not include and is not limited to:

  • Visitation or viewing prior to forwarding the decedent
  • Funeral rights or ceremonies prior to forwarding the decedent
  • Cash advance items such as obituary notices, death certificates, airline charges for shipping
  • Any charges billed by the receiving funeral home.
  • Merchandise such as caskets or shipping containers

 

Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home  $2,395.00 This charge includes:

  • The transporting of decedent from Lynden Pindling International Airport to our firm,
  • Temporary shelter of remains,
  • Proportionate share of basic services of funeral director and administrative staff
  • Transportation to the cemetery/crematorium

This charge does not include and is not limited to:

  • Visitation or viewing once in receipt of the decedent,
  • Funeral rights or ceremonies prior to delivery of the body to the cemetery/crematorium
  • Any cash advance items such as obituary notices, death certificates
  • Any charges billed by the forwarding funeral home
  • Merchandise such as caskets or shipping containers

 

OTHER STAFF & RELATED SERVICES (per hour)                                                                                             

Private Family Viewing (per hour)  $60.00 – Supervision, staff, and necessary equipment for viewing, or other comparable gatherings at a location of your choice or at our Funeral Home.

Public Viewing (per hour)  $60.00 – Supervision, staff, and necessary equipment for viewing, or other comparable gatherings at a location of your choice or at our Funeral Home.

Memorial Service (per hour)  $60.00 – Supervision, staff, and necessary equipment for memorial service (body not present) or other comparable gatherings at our funeral home or at a location of your choice when used for the memorial service.

Funeral Service (per hour)  $60.00 – Supervision, staff, and necessary equipment for funeral service (body present) or other comparable gathering at our funeral home or at a location of your choice when used for the funeral ceremony.

Committal Service (per hour)  $60.00 – Supervision, staff, for committal ceremony.

Basic Services of Funeral Director, Staff, and Overhead (NON-DECLINABLE)  $1,995.00

For your convenience, we have arranged a single charge for the basic professional services of our funeral directors and administrative staff.

Our professional service charge includes, but is not limited to:

  • Staff availability on a 24-hour basis to respond and provide guidance to initial request for services
  • Staff guidance at the morgue in preparation for the identification process (if applicable)
  • Assistance of staff in all necessary phases of arrangements, obtaining, preparation and filing of necessary notices, authorization and consents, certificates and permits,
  • Coordinating with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery, crematory, churches, florists, newspaper companies, and others,
  • Assistance to family following funeral and final disposition
  • The cost of salaries and benefits (including healthcare), training and educational expenses of the funeral directors and all other staff
  • Service vehicle for administrative usage
  • Included in this charge are overhead expenses related to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses.
  • This fee for our services will be added to the cost of the funeral arrangements you select.
  • This fee includes a proportionate share of our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding and receiving remains.

OTHER MERCHANDISE

Casket Sprays  $150.00 – Size of the arrangement will vary to the purchaser’s request and the availability of the flowers.

Visitors Register Book  $50.00 – A book family and friends’ sign expressing condolences to the family

Funeral Booklet  $Varies

Information Submission – Information should be typed & Email or WhatsApp as soon as possible no later than a week prior to the service.

Express Fee $200.00 – Will be incurred if work is submitted during the week of service (Sunday being the first day of the week)

Timeline for Information – All information needs to be reviewed with corrections made by 10:00 am the following day and approved to be printed by 2:00 pm on the same day. You will be allowed 2 revisions. If you require any additional revisions, it will be a $25.00 cost each time you have changes.

Photos for Collage – 20 photos per collage page. If you have additional photos, it will be per photo  $  5. 00

Payment – A deposit of half down is required when the job is submitted. The balance is due before the booklet goes to print.

Portrait of the decedent  $120.00 – Photo of the decedent displayed during the visiting, or at the service (funeral or memorial)

Automotive Equipment Within the Local Area  $150.00

  • Service vehicle for subsequent transport of decedent to a local location
  • Funeral Van to Transport decedent to a local location $ 250.00
  • Funeral Coach to transport decedent to a local location  $ 300.00
  • SUV to transport 6 family members etc. to and from a local location starting at per SUV  $300.00
  • Additional time – a charge of $ 60.00 per hour will be charged for vehicle usage over the allotted time.
  • Any subsequent transfers will incur an additional fee.

Newspaper, Television and/or Radio Notices

  • ZNS TV Death Notices, Funeral& Memorial Services, In Memory per day  $27.50
  • ZNS TV Public Viewing Announcement (Each time it is aired 150 words maximum) per day  $38.50
  • Radio Announcement starting (Each time it’s aired up to 150 words maximum)  $80.00
  • Radio Announcement (Each time it’s aired over 150 words)  $120.00
  • Nassau Guardian & The Tribune Death Notices  $110.00

For public cemetery graves contact the Ministry of Public Works and Central Services Division. 

  • Excavating & Preparation of Grave/s $1,100.00
  • Cemetery Grave Set-Ups – Synthetic turf, lowering device, tent, chairs, etc. $300.00
  • Temporary Grave Marker- Name plate for the grave $75.00
  • Certified Death Certificates-for business & legal matters related to the decedent per copy $10.00  
  • Insurance form to be completed by attending physician $30.00
  • Postponed Burial Fee – Delayed burial of human or cremated remains. $100.00
  • Rescheduling of Postponed Service –Organizing the rescheduling of postponed service $100.00
  • Readjustment Contract Fee – upgrading or downgrading products and/or services $100.00
  • Breach of Contract Fee – Canceling the contract  $300.00  
  • Repatriation Airline Fees – Fees charged by the airline by weight for shipping Human Remains. $ Varies

Family Island Services will be billed as an extension of the Disbursements at Cost.
